9 more days....

I just can't believe how fast a year has gone by. My mom always said "the older you get the faster it goes" and I never believed her! Man was she right! A year ago, i was getting the finishing touches on everything ready and waiting for Emma to arrive and now i almost have a toddler? How did it all happen so fast?!? She amazes me more and more every day. I can't believe how much she's learned in 1 year! For those of you who don't see Emma on a regular basis, you don't know what a STRONG personality she has. She's a good, sweet and loving girl, but man does she have a temper! If she's not getting what she wants, you know it! She's started throwing her head back and arching her back when you try to put her in her stroller or her car seat. I didn't know kids did this so young!! Sometimes I almost can't get her into her stroller by myself!!

We have a fun weekend planned. We have a class on Saturday that is all about introducing new foods to toddlers (i can't believe she's almost a toddler) and on Sunday we're meeting up with some of our August internet buddies! We can't wait!! I'll post pics as soon as i get back!

It's been a while!

It's been a while since i've updated on Emma! She's getting SO big! 11 months already? Where has the time gone? I can't believe my baby is going to be a year old soon. She had a dr. apt about 3 weeks ago and weighed 17.7lb and was 28in long. She's still a little underweight, but she is so active that the dr isn't concerned. She's so close to walking! She's cruising along the furniture and yesterday just started walking holding onto only one of our hands. Yesterday she also cute 2 more teeth! She now has 2 bottom teeth and her 2 top fangs! It looks like one of her top front teeth are coming in also so she won't look like a vampire for to long.

We had a really fun 4th of July! We went down to San Diego and took Emma to Sea world and a dodger vs Padres game! She loved it!! She was so good especially considering she had close to no naps and was up past midnight 2 nights in a row!

Beach trip!!

Kris and I decided to take Emma to the Santa Monica Pier today! She had a really good time untill we decided to put her feet in the sand. Let's just say i don't think we have a beach bum on our hands!

Emma went to her first Dodger game! She loved it!! We weren't sure if she'd sit throhgh a whole game, but she did such a good job! We can't wait to take her back for another game!!

Emma's 1st Easter!

We had such a fun Easter! For the first time, we had both of our famalies over for a BBQ. Emma loved opening up her baskets and playing with Chloe and Ciana all day! We had an egg hunt, but Chloe was the only one who looked for eggs (she ended up with about 40 of them!) It was so nice being able to share the holiday with our famalies at our house and finally having enough space to have everyone over!

The Easter Bunny brought Emma a new stroller for her doll! She loved it and was so excited to play with it. Here's a video of her trying to "walk"




And last but not least, we took Emma last week to have her picture taken with the Easter bunny....that didn't go over so well. She burst into tears the second we put her on the bunnys lap :( We managed to get a picture where there wasn't tears running everywhere though!

A trip to the zoo

Kris had 2 days in a row off last weekend so we decided to go to the zoo on Sunday! It was a little crowded, but we had a lot of fun. Emma loves the big animals ( I think she can see them a lot better than the little ones)

My first post!

Well, I've decided to change Emma's website and make a blog! I think it's going to be a lot easier for me to update everything here (I haven't updated her website since Christmas) So much has happened this year! She's sitting, crawling, standing and has teeth! I can't believe how fast the last 8 months has gone by. She is one of the happiest babies I've ever been around and puts a smile on everyones face that sees her. I have a feeling she's going to give us a run for our money. She's already into everything and is a very curious little girl.
